Aide Corp

Aide Corps Unit>>

On September 15, 1961 the Kena Aide Corp was officially established by Illustrious Lyman M. Kelly, Potentate of Kena Temple. Noble Robert W. Hannemann was appointed by the Potentate as its Director and was tasked to organize the Aide Corp.

Illustrious Kelley in establishing the Aide Corp stated that the duties of the Potentate are varied and time consuming. It was his desires that members of Kena would assist the Potentate as he may direct , in the performance of these duties and in upholding the dignity and respectability of Kena. Therefore the purpose was as it remains today to serve the Shrine in general and the Potentate of Kena in particular. From its start in 1961 with twelve (12) members it has seen growth in membership and has for the last forty plus years, served Kena and the Potentate honorable and with dignity.

Over the years the Aide Corp has served each Potentate in all duties that he has assigned them. Over the years these duties have primarily included taking care of Kena visitors from other temples. Over the years this service has brought numerous favorable comments for the visitors concerning the high level of friendship and brother love they have been afforded during their visits to Kena. The Aide Corp continues to serve the Potentate and the Nobility to assure our visitors are made welcome and receive the treatment they so rightly deserve when they take the time to visit Kena to participate in the Potentate’s Ball and the Kena Ceremonials.
